Army SGT Jordan Sisco

Irvine, CA

Inspired by our nation’s military history and motivated to do his part, Jordan Sisco enlisted in the Army after high school in 2008.

On July 25, 2012, Sergeant Sisco was serving as an Infantryman with the 3rd Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division in Panjwai, Afghanistan, when he was severely injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast resulting in the traumatic amputation of his legs above the knee, the loss of his left thumb, tinnitus, and traumatic brain injury (TBI).

He was evacuated and placed in a medically induced coma before returning stateside to Brooke Army Medical Center. Jordan spent two additional years at Fort Sam Houston for rehabilitation until he medically retired from the Army in 2014.

Originally from Corona, California, Jordan is choosing to remain in his home state.
