Mission Accomplished on Aug. 3, 2018

Army Corporal Aaron Jacinto served as a medic in the Army and Navy, deploying to Iraq in 2005 with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force and Afghanistan with the Army in 2011.

On Nov. 19, 2011, during his second deployment, CPL Jacinto was serving with the 2-27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division when he was severely injured in a mortar attack in Kunar Province, Afghanistan, resulting in the partial amputation of both feet, a broken tibia, and internal injuries.

Aaron and his wife, Deb, celebrated their wedding ceremony at their HFOT home. Since receiving his HFOT home, Aaron has achieved significant milestones in his personal and professional life. He completed his undergraduate degree and will earn his master’s in 2025. Dedicated to public service, he continues to give back and pay it forward through his work. His HFOT home has been the foundation for countless core memories, from watching his children grow up to seeing them now prepare for college. As he continues to build new memories, Aaron remains committed to making a lasting impact on both his family and community.

Originally from Aiea, Hawaii, Aaron chose to build his home in Texas because of the community and proximity to his medical team.

Aaron is grateful to HFOT donors and supporters for the gift of a specially adapted custom home. “The help you provided to me is most appreciated and won’t go to waste,” he says.
