Jake Tapper and Dave Matthews Band Raise $100,000 for Severely Injured Veterans

Categories: Blog, Home

On Monday, July 8, National HFOT Board Ambassador Jake Tapper announced his joint project with Dave Matthews to support Homes For Our Troops’ mission of Building Homes and Rebuilding Lives raised $100,000!

A longtime fan and friend of Dave Matthews Band, Jake drew and designed a vintage-style t-shirt depicting the band as a superhero team named ‘DAVENGERS’. Jake Tapper launched the project on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in March with all net proceeds aimed at helping Homes For Our Troops build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 Veterans.

Grateful doesn’t begin to cover how we feel about HFOT National Ambassador Jake Tapper’s continued support. Proceeds from the vintage-style t-shirt Jake designed of Dave Matthews Band as superheroes – “DAVENGERS” – will help us further our mission of Building Homes and Rebuilding Lives for our nation’s severely injured Veterans.

The popular “Davengers” t-shirt was available for pre-order during the initiative and is now sold out! Thank you to all of our valued mission supporters!
