Cpl Roger Rua Cheshire, CT MISSION ACCOMPLISHED ON Jan 21, 2023 On March 29, 2012, Marine Corporal Roger Rua was serving with the Security Platoon attached to the 9th Engineer Support Battalion when the vehicle he was riding in drove over a command detonated improvised explosive device (IED) in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Army SGT Tyler Sloan Aransas Pass, TX Inspired to serve his country after 9/11, Tyler Sloan enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman after high school in 2003.
